Rodman is the name of a town in Jefferson County, New York. It is located on the western slopes of an area known locally as the Tug Hill Plateau. This refers to the region east of Lake Ontario, celebrated for its record breaking snow accumulations in the winter. Rodman is located around seventy miles north of Syracuse and around ten miles south of the smaller city of Watertown. The town consists mostly of farms and small residential communities. The hamlets in town are Dillen, East Rodman, Rodman, Tremaines Corners and Zoar., the town was home to approximately 1,166 people.
