Fowler is a town in St. Lawrence County, New York. It is on the western side of the Adirondack Park and is considered part of the North Country region. The central part of town is around forty miles south of Ogdensburg and around forty miles northeast of Watertown. , Fowler’s population was estimated at 2,150. The size of Fowler is approximately sixty-one square miles. It was established in 1816 and named after Theodosius Fowler, a Captain during the American Revolutionary War. The town encompasses the hamlets of Balmat, Fowler, Emeryville, Fullerville, Hailesboro, Pikes Corner, and West Fowler. The main population area is Hailesboro.
