Coeymans (pronounced KWEE-mens) is a town in Albany County, New York. It is located approximately fifteen miles south of downtown Albany and is considered part of the Capital District region. Coeymans was named after an early settler., the town's population was estimated at 7,200. The town encompasses the Village of Ravena and several hamlets. Ravena is the town’s main population area and the location of the town government offices.
