Tupper Lake is a town in Franklin County, New York. The town is in the center of the Adirondack Park and is considered part of the North Country region. It is in one of the most remote areas of New York State. The town is approximately 150 miles northwest of Albany, approximately 70 miles southwest of Plattsburgh, and approximately 100 miles east of Watertown. Tupper Lake is 30 miles east of Lake Placid, known for its winter sports. Within the town, there is a Village of Tupper Lake. NYS-3 continues on to the northwest as Demars Boulevard, then Main Street, and finally State Route 3, as it exits the town. NYS-30 turns south where it goes by Wawbeek Avenue, then State Route 30, as it leaves the village environs. It eventually leads to the Town of Long Lake, approximately twenty miles south.
