Theresa is a large and mostly rural town in Jefferson County, New York. It has a total area of seventy square miles with a population of around 2500 (). Most residents live in the southern part of town. The northern part is mostly forestland and lakes. Theresa Town Hall is approximately twenty miles north of Watertown and approximately ninety miles north of Syracuse. The town encompasses the Village of Theresa.
