Schoharie (pronounced: Sko-HAIRY) is the name of a village in Schoharie County, New York. It is located approximately forty miles west of Albany and approximately twenty-five miles south of the small City of Amsterdam. The area is known as the Mohawk Valley region. The village size is 1.6 square miles and is within the Town of Schoharie. , the village population was estimated at 900.

Taking Route 30 north from the village leads you into the Town of Esperance. Taking Route 30 south from the village takes you to Middleburgh. The busiest road going east from Main Street is Prospect Street (County Route 1B). It takes motorists to the Town of Wright.
