Saranac is a town in Clinton County, New York. It is considered part of New York’s Northern Country region and is approximately thirty miles south of the border between the United States and Canada. As of February of 2022, the town’s population was 4,381. Saranac was established in 1824 and derived its name from the river that runs through town.
