Parishville is a large and rural town in St. Lawrence County, New York. It is located in the northwestern portion of the Adirondack Park and is considered part of the North Country region. The closest city is Ogdensburg, around forty miles west on the Canadian border. Parishville covers a total area of one hundred and one square miles, the vast majority of which is forestland. The town’s residential communities and hamlets are located in the northern strip of the town. From there, the road runs southeast towards Browns Bridge. Entering the town from the north is County Route 47 (Parishville-Southville Road). This road heads south until it reaches the hamlet of Parishville. It terminates as it meets NYS-72. South of NYS-72 is very rural. The rest of town mostly consists of small, one lane roads. They are used to access the many lakes found in the remaining part of town, as well as the reservoirs.
