Palatine is a town in Montgomery County, New York. It is located approximately sixty miles west of Albany and is considered part of the Mohawk Valley region. The Mohawk River forms the southern boundary of the town. The earliest settlers were German and named the town after the historical region of Germany. The town encompasses two villages, Nelliston and Palatine Bridge.
