Nassau is the name of a town in Rensselaer County, New York. It is located approximately twenty miles southeast of Albany and is considered part of the Capital District region. The town encompasses the villages of Nassau and East Nassau. The town also encompasses the small hamlets of Alps, Brainard, Denault Corners, Dunham Hollow, Hoags Corners, Jack’s Corners, Millers Corners, and North Nassau. , the town of Nassau had a total estimated population of 4,500.
