Lyme is a large and rural town in Jefferson County, New York. It is located in a remote corner of New York State. Lyme is roughly 100 miles north of Syracuse and around 30 miles south of the Thousand Islands Border Crossing. It rests on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. The town makes up more than 100 square miles but around half of it is water of the Chaumont Bay.
