Hurley is a town in Ulster County, New York. It is located on the eastern edge of the Catskill Mountains, approximately 100 miles north of New York City. The town is just west of the small city of Kingston. The area is considered part of the Hudson Valley region. Hurley encompasses the hamlets of Glenford, Hurley, Morgan Hill, and Riverside Park. , the town population was estimated at 6,100. Hurley's early economy was mostly built on limestone, which was used for making cement.
