Hebron is a town in Washington County, New York. It is situated on the border of New York State and Vermont. The town is around twenty-five miles west of Glen Falls and around sixty miles northeast of Albany. Hebron makes up fifty-seven square miles of mostly farmland. , the town population was estimated at 1,900. Hebron was established in 1786 and named after the Biblical city. The town was known as the state’s Potato Capital due to its role in the production of the uniquely bred Hebron Potatoes. Nowadays, dairy farming is the town’s primary production.
