Gilboa is a town in Schoharie County, New York. It is in the northern range of the Catskill Mountains and around 150 miles northwest of New York City and around fifty miles southwest of Albany. , the town’s population was estimated at 1,300. The town was formed in 1848 and named after Mount Gilboa, a biblical site in Israel.
