Ghent is a town in Columbia County, New York. It is located around 120 miles north of New York City and around thirty miles south of Albany. The town is east of the Hudson River and approximately fifteen miles west of the Massachusetts State line. Ghent is considered part of the Hudson Valley region. The town includes the hamlets of Arnolds Mill, Buckleyville, Omi, Pulvers, and West Ghent. The town also encompasses part of the Village of Chatham.
