Duane, New York
Duane is a town in Franklin County, New York. It is a remote town, located in the northern part of Adirondack Park. The closest city is Plattsburgh, in neighboring Clinton County, approximately fifty miles east. Duane is one the most rural towns in New York State. The town covers 78 square miles, the vast majority of which is forestland. , the town had approximately 180 residents. It is the fifth smallest town, by population. The town has one hamlet called Duane Center.
