De Peyster, New York
De Peyster is a rural town in St. Lawrence County, New York. It is a farming community located in the northwest corner of New York State. The town is just southeast of the city of Ogdensburg, located at the Canadian border. St Lawrence County is considered part of the North Country region. , the town population was estimated at 1,000. De Peyster covers a total area of forty-five square miles. It was established in 1825 and named after one of the local landowners, Frederic de Peyster.

Just south of the hamlet, the road becomes County Route 11 (CR-11) and heads south-east until it meets yet another road, County Route 17 (CR-17). Both CR-11 and CR-17 leave town through the southeast boundary.
