Conesville is a town in Schoharie County, New York. It is a rural and quaint town nestled in the northern part of the Catskills Mountains. The town is roughly fifty miles southwest of Albany. , the town population was estimated at 700. Conesville covers approximately forty square miles. The town was settled in 1836 and was named after an early resident, Jonathan Cone. The town encompasses the hamlets of Manorkill and West Conesville.

Breaking off CR-3 in the west part of town is County Route 18 (Bear Kill Road). CR-18 serves the northern part of town and leaves through the north town line. The remainder of town consists of smaller local roads that lead to either CR-18 or CR-3.
