Columbia County is a county in the Hudson Valley Region of New York State. The northern part of the county is close to Albany and as such it is also considered part of the Capital District region. , Columbia County’s population was roughly 60,700. The US-9 runs north and south through the county’s mid-section, and continues into the neighboring counties. NYS-22 runs north and south as well, along the northeast town line.
