Chazy is a town in Clinton County, New York. It is located in the northeast corner of New York State, approximately ten miles south of the Canadian border. Lake Champlain and the State of Vermont form the eastern town line. The town was settled in 1763 and named after a French Lieutenant known as de Chézy. The town consists of several hamlets. They are Chazy Landing, Ingraham, Sciota, and West Chazy., the population of Chazy was estimated at 4,100.
