Bleecker is a rural town in Fulton County, New York.. As of February of 2022, the town’s population was 540. Bleecker covers sixty square miles and was settled around 1800. In 183, the town was formally established and named after Barent Bleecker, one of the region’s original landowners. Like other nearby towns, its early development was a result of a lucrative lumber industry.

Bleecker is served by a handful of local roads and two larger county routes, which all smaller roads lead to. County Route 112 serves the southwest portion of town. Entering from the west town line, it heads south after meeting County Route 125. This occurs just outside of the hamlet of Peters Corners. Before crossing the south town line, it passes through the hamlet of Bleecker located on the edge of Lake Edward.
County Route 125 enters town in the north-east corner and heads southwest until it reaches County Route 112. Along the way it passes through several hamlets. These are Upper Benson, Tomantown and Peters Corners.
The remaining hamlets (Lindsley Corners and Bleecker Center) found in the town center are accessible from both County Routes.
