Black Brook, New York
Black Brook is a rural town in Clinton County, New York. It is located on the eastern edge of the Adirondack Mountains approximately thirty miles southwest of Plattsburgh. , the estimated population was 1,600. The town was settled in 1825 and derives its name from the local stream that cuts through the town. Black Brook covers a total area of 134 square miles. The town consists of several hamlets. They are known as Au Sable Forks, Clayburg, Devins Corners, East Kilns, Hawkeye, Riverview, Thomasville, Union Falls, and West Kilns.

In the south-east corner of town, New York State Route 9N serves the hamlets of Thomasville and Au Sable Forks, running east-west along the Ausable River and town line.
