Ava, New York
Ava is the name of a rural town in Oneida County, New York. , there were approximately 700 residents in a town of more than thirty seven square miles. Three hamlets make up the town. They are Ava, Flint Town and Redmond Corner. The Town of Ava is roughly thirty miles north of the City of Utica, at the southern foothill of the Adirondack Mountains. Ava was first settled in 1798 by Ebenezer Harger. The town was named after the Kingdom of Ava, which is the name of a circa 15th - 16th century Burmese kingdom.
