Traffic Tickets in Ava, New York
The origin of many Ava traffic violations is New York State Route 26 (NYS-26). It is the town’s arterial road that runs north-south. NYS-26 intersects County Route 67 (CR-67) in the center of town. CR-67 enters from the southwest corner and heads northeast until it reaches NYS-26, where it terminates. New York State Route 294 (NYS-294) cuts through the town’s north-east protrusion. The NYS-294 intersects NYS-26 just outside town. Heading east on NYS-294 brings you to the Village of Boonville. The rest of the town’s eastern and south-eastern area consists only of local roads.
There is no town police department in Ava. Instead, road coverage is provided by the New York State Police and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department. They conduct all the traffic stops in town and issue all the citations. The Ava Town Court (also known as the Ava Justice Court) adjudicates these tickets. The court is located within the Ava Town Hall building on the town’s main road, NYS-26.
