Traffic Tickets in Arietta
New York State Route 28 (NYS-28) runs east-west in the northern part of Arietta. It is the only road there. In the southern part of town there are two main roads. One would be New York State Route 8 (NYS-8), which runs east and west. The other would be New York State Route 10 (NYS-10), which runs north and south. Taking NYS-8 east brings you to the neighboring village of Speculator. Heading west brings you to the town of Morehouse. Running around the north side of Piseco Lake is County Route 24 (Old Piseco Road). This road connects to NYS-8 on both edges of the lake and provides access to the local Piseco Airport.
The town lacks a local police department. This means traffic and safety patrols are done by the New York State Police and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Citations they issue are made answerable to the Arietta Town Court (Arietta Justice Court), located in the Hamlet of Piseco. The most common charge the court adjudicates is speeding.
